It is recommended to clean the ceramic once a month.
Place the container in your clean sink without blocking the drain and cover the ceramic with tap water mixed with white vinegar (one glass of white vinegar). Let it drain, then repeat the process 2 to 3 times using only tap water. The white vinegar must be completely gone, so don't hesitate to rinse the ceramic thoroughly to remove the vinegar smell. Take a new, non-abrasive sponge and wipe the ceramic, then rinse thoroughly. Caution: be careful not to let any vinegar water pass through the filter cartridge, otherwise you risk damaging it and making your water undrinkable.
