How to install and prepare your EVA fountain

Before starting the installation of your EVA fountain, wash your hands thoroughly with soap or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer to avoid damaging the natural filters.

1. Remove the protective coverings from your EVA Fountain and then rinse all the parts with clean water.
2. Install the ECO-FRIENDLY ceramic tile ( no. 2 ) . DO NOT HOLD IT BY THE DOME, BUT BY ITS BASE . If you rotate the ceramic tile on its base, you risk detaching it and thus breaking the bottom of the tile OR damaging the grout.
3. Place the ceramic in the tray with a central hole ( No. 4 ), the inner joint ( No. 3 ) of the ceramic must be positioned inside the tray ( No. 4 ).
4. Screw the butterfly nut ( No. 5 ) onto the ceramic, without forcing it, then rinse under clean tap water.
5. Take the filter cartridge ( No. 7 ) and follow the instructions (page 19). Remove its packaging, then immerse it in a container filled with water to remove air bubbles (2 to 3 minutes).
6. During this operation, prepare the base ( No. 14 ) on which you will place the second container ( No. 9 ) for receiving filtered water.
7. Screw the tap ( part #12 ) into place. There are two seals for a watertight fit: one inner seal and one outer seal. Position them correctly to achieve the desired seal. Take the nut (with the domed side facing the seal) and tighten it gently, being careful not to overtighten or crush the seals.
8. Take the blue basket ( No. 10 ) filled with minerals and rinse it under tap water to remove excess mineral dust and place it in the center of the second container ( No. 9 ).
9. For BEP models, the white magnetic disc is already installed in the blue basket ( No. 10 ), you just need to add the green IRL piece ( No. 11 ) to the center of the basket lid.
10. Place the large bowl ( No. 8 ) on the second tray ( No. 9 ).
11. Place the cartridge ( No. 7 ) under tap water to finish purging it; black water may come out due to the activated carbon; as soon as the water is clear, your cartridge is ready for use.
12. Screw the filter cartridge ( No. 7 ) onto the small cup ( No. 6 ) (fixing cup) and insert it into its place.
13. Next, place the tray with the ceramic ( No. 4 + No. 2 + No. 3 + No. 5 ) on the large bowl ( No. 8 ) and place the lid ( No. 1 ) on top of the fountain.
14. Your fountain is ready. Put water in the upper tray ( number 4 ) and let it filter.
15. After assembly, you must perform 4 filtration cycles before using the water: fill your upper reservoir once, let the water flow into the lower reservoir, and give the filtered water to your plants. Repeat this process three times.
    EMPTY ALL THE WATER FROM THE LOWER TRAY (the tray with the tap) AT THE END OF EACH CYCLE.

After these filtrations, YOUR EVA FOUNTAIN IS READY…

WARNING: IF YOUR LOWER TUB IS ALREADY FULL OF WATER, DO NOT ADD MORE WATER TO THE UPPER TUB OR IT WILL OVERFLOW. The EVA fountain does not have an overflow prevention system.
